101. Appalachian State (preseason: 76th)Main starter: Taylor LambBuzz: Lamb beat out Kammeron Bryant, last season's starter, early in the season. Lamb has provided some offensive bright spots, but the Mountaineers still have lost all four of his starts.102. Tulsa (preseason: 124th)Main starter: Dane EvansBuzz: In 10 games as a college starter, Evans has 15 TDs and 19 interceptions. He has thrown nine picks this season, struggling with his accuracy at times.103. New Mexico State (preseason: 128th)Main starter: Tyler RogersBuzz: Rogers, a JC transfer, has thrown 11 TD pa ses and has had three 300-yard games. But he also has thrown 13 interceptions.104. Troy (preseason: 110th)Main starter: Brandon SilversBuzz: Silvers is a redshirt freshman with an upside; he has a nice arm and can run. He has accounted for nine TDs.105. Wyoming (preseason: 120th)Main starter: Colby KirkegaardBuzz: Kirkegaard, a senior who had barely played before this season,  Marwin Gonzalez Jersey has had an OK performance. He hasn't received much help from a mediocre rushing attack.106. UNLV (preseason: 81st)Main starter: Blake DeckerBuzz: Decker, a JC transfer, has had three 300-yard games and has shown some running ability, but he also has six TD pa ses and 10 interceptions.107. Florida (preseason: 40th)Main starter: Jeff DriskelBuzz: Driskel is gifted physically and po se ses a strong arm, but he doesn't have "it" when it comes to playing quarterback in the SEC. (Frankly, he might not have "it" when it comes to playing quarterback in Conference USA.) True freshman Treon Harris appears poised to take over the starting job. Check out the alternate college football uniforms worn during the 2014 season. 108. Wisconsin (preseason: 54th)Main starter: Tanner McEvoyBuzz: It appears as if Joel Stave has regained his starting job from McEvoy. Wisconsin's pa sing attack has been excruciatingly bad, with zero consistency. But both quarterbacks have proven proficient at turning and handing the ball to Melvin Gordon.109. New Mexico (preseason: 95th)Main starter: Lamar JordanBuzz: Jordan, a redshirt freshman, has shared time with senior Cole Gautsche. Neither is a good pa ser, but both have solid running ability.110. Houston (preseason: 24th)Main starter: Greg Ward Jr.Buzz: John O'Korn was excellent as a true freshman last season, throwing for 3,117 yards and 28 TDs, but he struggled this season to the point that he has lost his starting job to Ward, who has dual-threat ability. Houston's pa sing attack has been one of the nation's biggest offensive disappointments. Francisco Liriano Jersey 111. Florida International (preseason: 127th)Main starter: Alex McGoughBuzz: McGough is a true freshman who has a nice arm and could be a solid starter down the road. He has struggled with his accuracy (48.2 completion percentage, with four games at 48 percent or worse), but he still has twice as many TD pa ses (eight) as picks (four).112. Syracuse (preseason: 55th)Main starter: Terrel HuntBuzz: A.J. Long, a true freshman, has taken over starting duties from Hunt, who will be out for a while with a broken leg. Hunt had not come close to living up to expectations before his injury, with one TD pa s and four picks.113. San Jose State (preseason: 115th)Main starter: Blake JurichBuzz: Joe Gray began the season as the backup to Jurich, but now is the starter. He has nice yardage totals but only one TD pa s and four picks.114. Ball State (preseason: 108th)Main starter: Ozzie MannBuzz: Mann, a sophomore, beat out Jack Milas, a redshirt freshman, in fall camp. But Milas has pa sed him on the depth chart and will make his second start this week. Milas played well in his first start, a Josh Reddick Jersey  lo s to Western Michigan. Take a look at the great players, coaches and teams that have shaped the history of college football. 115. Kansas (preseason: 105th)Main starter: Montell CozartBuzz: It appears as if Michael Cummings will be the starter going forward, as Cozart played a lot of bad football. Cummings played relatively well last week in his first start, a lo s to Oklahoma State. Can he keep that up?116. Tulane (preseason: 112th)Main starter: Tanner LeeBuzz: Lee, a redshirt freshman, has been bothered by a shoulder bruise. He has struggled when he has played, though he does seem to po se s the needed physical skills.117. Wake Forest (preseason: 116th)Main starter: John WolfordBuzz: Wolford, a true freshman, won the job early in fall camp. He put up huge numbers in high school in Florida, but predictably has struggled, especially against the better teams on the Demon Deacons' schedule.118. North Texas (preseason: 121st)Main starter Andy Pettitte Jersey : Dajon WilliamsBuzz: Williams, a redshirt freshman, began the season as the No. 3 guy, but has ascended to the starting role. He has been mostly ineffective except for a win over a bad FCS team (Nicholls State).119. Ohio (preseason: 106th)Main starter: J.D. SpragueBuzz: Sprague, a former walk-on, became the starter when Derrius Vick was injured in the fourth game. Sprague has had some succe s as a runner but not as a pa ser. 120. San Diego State (preseason: 44th)Main starter: Quinn KaehlerBuzz: Kaehler, a senior, has been a big disappointment. He has mi sed time with an injury, and true freshman Nick Bawden has been overmatched. Kaehler threw for 3,007 yards and 19 TDs last season, but has regre sed badly (two TDs, seven picks).121. Connecticut (preseason: 69th)Main starter: Chandler WhitmerBuzz: Casey Cochran played well down the stretch last season and opened this season as the starter. But he decided to step away from football after suffering a head injury in the opener, and Whitmer -- whom Cochran beat out last season -- became the starter again. He doesn't have it as a pa ser.122. Texas-San Antonio (preseason: 102nd)Main starter: Tucker CarterBuzz: UTSA is struggling to score, and while all the offensive i sues can't be blamed on Carter, he has proven to be a relatively ineffective pa ser. He mi sed the last game, a narrow win over FIU, with an injured shoulder but is expected back this weekend.123. Kent State Justin Verlander Jersey  (preseason: 90th)Main starter: Colin Reardon/Nathan StrockBuzz: Reardon played well in the opener, but that's it. Kent State is 0-6 and lost by 23 to what had been a winle s UMa s team in its most recent game. Check out the best moves of college football cheerleaders during the 2014 season. 124. Hawaii (preseason: 125th)Main starter: Ikaika WoolseyBuzz: Coach Norm Chow is on the hot seat and poor quarterbacking is one reason.125. Vanderbilt (preseason: 100th)Main starter: Wade FreebeckBuzz: Freebeck is a true freshman whom coaches wanted to redshirt, but he has been pre sed into duty because of an injury to nominal starter Patton Robinette. A return to health by Robinette would be a good thing for Vandy.126. USF (preseason: 99th)Main starter: Mike WhiteBuzz: USF quarterbacks were bad last season, and they remain so. USF is completing 42.3 percent of its pa s attempts.127. SMU (preseason: 94th)Main starter: Garrett KrstichBuzz: Neal Burcham began the season as the starter but he was injured, and now Krstich
